Good Reasons Helps Paint the Town Pink
Dog treat company supports local breast cancer foundation
North Salem, NY (October 9, 2014) – Join Good Reasons™ and Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation this Friday, October 10 in the Village of Warwick from 2:00-9:00pm for the 3rd annual Pink Friday. There will be food and wine sampling, fitness demonstrations, massages and makeovers, and other various street vendors. This event will be held rain or shine so dress appropriately.
Good Reasons™ is a dog treat company on a mission to hire individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Good Reasons™ launched in July with three flavors – Bella’s Barkery Bone, Charlie’s Cheddar Chomps, and Hudson’s Pumpkin PB Pieces. Each treat is made with human grade ingredients and lots of love; they pack a ton of flavor in one bite. Good Reasons™ treats are currently being sold in 20 retail locations, as well as online at www.goodreasons.com/treat-shop/. Bella’s Barkery Bone’s packaging is “pretty in pink”, and pairs perfectly with the “pink for October” initiative that takes place every year.
Good Reasons™ and Miles of Hope are partnering together this month to support breast cancer research. To help support Miles of Hope’s mission, Good Reasons™ will donate $1 for every bag of Bella’s Barkery Bone that is sold during the month of October. The money raised will help fund breast cancer education courses, support programs, and will provide financial aid for social support and ancillary services. “We’ve received so much support locally that we wanted to be able to give back to another company in our area. We’re excited to spread the good word of another organization the same way that so many have done for Good Reasons™,” said founder and CEO Vicki Sylvester, Ph.D.
Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation is a non-profit that was founded in March of 2004. Its goal is to fund support services for individuals affected by breast cancer in the eight counties that make up the Hudson Valley. Dana Effron and Cathy Varunok, two active members of the community that focused their attention on breast cancer research after knowing someone or personally being affected by the disease, established the Foundation. They fixed their research efforts on the Hudson Valley area after noticing that the support they were looking for was not available.
